Front End Website Design
Web design is usually the first stage of a project. At the start of this creative process the object is to create a design with visual appeal whilst involving a desired colour scheme and branding. Careful consideration is also given to how database driven content will appear on the webpages when the website is connected to the back end databases. An innovative design built by our in-house web designers incorporates a user friendly layout, encourages lead generation, high search engine rankings and most importantly, great customer service.
Client Side Scripting
During the design stage of a website project Javascript and various Ajax frameworks such as jQuery and Mootools are implemented to provide various effects within the pages, often without having to send requests to the host webserver. We frequently inplement the use of jQuery and Mootools to provide image galleries and to validate forms in an aesthetic manner.
Back End Development
The term "Back End" typically referes to the database management system (DBMS). A typical user or even website administrator will not encounter the back end but will interact with data provided by it. At Asterix Solutions we prefer to use MySQL databases to provide the back end to many of our website projects. MySQL also operates in conjunction with PHP particularly well but frequently work with other well know databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
